Erin and Nick’s wedding in the Minnesota Northwoods felt like a love letter to the place that had shaped so many of their favorite memories. Guests spent the weekend tucked away in cozy lakeside cabins at Erin’s family’s longtime summer retreat, embracing the kind of laid-back, heartfelt atmosphere that feels quintessentially Midwestern.

One of the most meaningful details of the day was the ceremony arbor—hand-built by Nick himself. Nestled along the lake and reached by a winding hike through the woods, the ceremony felt as though it had been discovered rather than designed. Surrounded by towering pines and sparkling water, guests gathered lakeside as Erin and Nick exchanged vows in one of the most naturally beautiful settings imaginable.

The floral design drew inspiration from the wildflowers and herbs found throughout the region. Rosemary, sage, and thyme were woven throughout the arrangements, filling the space with the most incredible scent and creating a feeling that was both elegant and wonderfully organic. After the ceremony, guests boarded pontoons and made their way across the lake to the reception at the lodge, turning the journey itself into part of the celebration.

As the sun set over the water, everyone gathered for a classic Northwoods feast featuring prime rib, heartfelt toasts, and plenty of dancing. It was the kind of wedding weekend that felt warm, welcoming, and deeply rooted in family tradition—a beautiful reflection of Erin and Nick and the place they call home each summer.
